Allbeury - Gibaut Jerripedia

I'll include links and extracted info.  There has been a lot of research undertaken on the Allbeury family. Not seen any proof that the family is Huguenot in origin, but why not? There is persistence in the spelling, 130 years since the revocation of the Edict of Nantes and 1,000s of refugees to UK. Absence of evidence, is not evidence of absence. The key line for Allbeury and Gibaut is 5 Elizabeth Gibaut (1798- ) m 1 Thomas Falle; 2 (1824) Henry Allbeuary of Rochester https://www.theislandwiki.org/index.php/Descendants_of_Jean_GIbaut_(1565) https://www.theislandwiki.org/index.php/Descendants_of_Isaac_Gibaut 1 Jean Gibaut ( -1565) m 1, Germaine 2 Jean Gibaut ( -1588) m Le Brun, Trinity 2nd wife of Jean Gibaut, Collette Le Masurier 2 Estienne Gibaut  [1]  m Elizabeth Le Gros 3  Isaac Gibaut  ( -1699) m (1673, St L) Judith Le Cras 4 Edouard Gibaut 4 Isaac Gibaut (1685- ) m (1707)  [2]  Marthe Le Cras 5 Francois Gibaut (1718- ) m 1 (1742) Elizabeth ...

Caulfield Races 1919

These all look like greyhound races.  Which fits with the later interest in greyhounds, but Caulfield is now all about horse races.  Who the people are is unknown now.

Frederick Brown bought land in Killara for the family to holiday at.  Being out in the bush, but still accessible by Railway (yes what is now Puffing Billy).  The land remained unsold until the 1970s.  Eddie Brown died in 1971 and Olive discovered that a nephew had been paying the rates, with the ultimate objective of claiming possession.  But I don't think Max missed out to much because of Aunty Olive being on the case.   Killara Christmas 1921  Eddie Brown 3rd from the right and Olive sitting 1st left Killara Christmas 1921 Vera McKenzie left, Olive Brown nee Hindmarsh right Killara Christmas 1921 Jean U'Ren a friend of  Olive Brown nee Hindmarsh Killara Christmas 1921 From left standing, unk, unk, Jesse Brown, Reg Brown, Gordon Brown, unk, unk sitting Rue Williams - husband of Jesse Killara Christmas 1921 Standing on the right are Olive and Eddie Brown.  It looks like Gordon sitting far right
